Do you know about the current big meat scandal in Germany? Horse meat in ready meals! Horse meat instead of beef! Gasp!

Here comes the big outcry. People are shocked because they've eaten horse meat. Horses aren't supposed to be eaten. You can cuddle horses! Horses are intelligent. Eating horses is disgusting and wrong!

I have some great news for you today. We finally managed to raise some funds for the development of a completely new Vegman website and iOS & Android APPs.

The new team started to work on this huge project last friday (18.Jan.2013).

We wil not change the design due to the extremely positive feedback we received from you.

I don't know if you know “Eat, Pray, Love”. Some might say it is a chick book, and maybe it is, even though I don't know how an autobiographic story could possibly be a chick book. However, I read it a few years ago in Morocco, and I'm still so grateful that I read it while traveling because the story stirred a very old yearning inside of me. Traveling and writing...

I grew up with a grandma telling stories about her home in Silesia, about cows and fields and chicken hatchlings... but also about expulsion and flight, about starting all over again.

This month, my childhood stories got alive, as we rented two mini-busses and hit the road. 14 people. The past in the present. Family chaos.

Just came back from a weekend trip to Prague and I have to say: AMAZING!

You're walking on cobblestones, crossing a medieval bridge, breathing in centuries full of history and, above everything, there is Prague Castle, the biggest castle in the world at about 570 metres in length and an average of about 130 metres wide.

For the past ten days I've been teetering on the brink of eating fish. And cheese.

Veganizing the recipe was easy enough, I used water instead of milk (I've always done that, even back then in my omnivore life, it makes the waffles crispy) and my friend No-Egg came to the rescue.

Upon boarding the Amtrak train to the US:

"Oh, you're going to Bellingham? Lovely. My nephew lives there. He is in the band Death Cab For Cutie."

Stopping in a little café while walking the South Bay Trail along Bellingham Bay:

"Do you have anything vegan to eat?"

"Oh, I wish we had, I'm vegan myself!"
