I'm currently lying in my hostel bed, my feet hot and heavy after a day of walking around. Most awesome thing today? Spotting wild black bears next to the highway. Second awesome thing today: Sitting on a glacier in the snow.
In the first few days of my new job I hit the ground running, which is usually the case in any kitchen, trial by fire, hopefully not literally although once it was but that’s another story. With a bunch of hungry volunteers chomping at the bit for some tasty vegan fare I was given the warmest of welcomes.
Easter is just around the corner, and it will be my first Easter as a vegan. Last year, I was still in my transition period and while I never liked eggs, I loved to color them. And, of course, I did love the chocolate bunnies.
Can you feel it, can you smell it? The birds are back, chirping at 6 am and the first sunrays are tickling your winter skin. A hunch of spring is in the air! Time for new shoes :)
I got married two days ago, and I have to say: wow. I've never been the wedding-kind of girl, and, truth be told, one of my favorite "bride" associations would be "Kill Bill".
