Bunnies and eggs

Last year...

Easter is just around the corner, and it will be my first Easter as a vegan. Last year, I was still in my transition period and while I never liked eggs, I loved to color them. And, of course, I did love the chocolate bunnies.

Truth be told, I'm a little bit sad about having lost the simple joy of my Easter traditions - traditions which always reminded me of happy childhood times.

The chocolate bunny problem is easy to solve, after all, there are many delicious vegan offers.

The eggs however...

There are dyable ceramic eggs from EggNots:

However, it's just not the same :-/ Coloring Easter eggs for my husband ist tempting but would feel like cheating...

How do you do it? Will it get easier over the years? Will the feeling of having lost something vanish? Or do you still enjoy coloring them?

We decided not to do Easter this year. A little trip to Scotland might provide some solace ;-)

Side note: I know that Easter is neither about eggs nor bunnies but about Jesus and I respect those beliefs. Nevertheless, this is not a post about religion.
