Nostralis Pizza, established in 1981, is the first wholemeal vegetarian pizza shop in Australia that serves a variety of pizzas in a simple cafeteria-style setting. Pizzas offered include the Mediterranean spinach pizza (with tomato, cheese, spinach, fetta cheese, onion, egg, sesame and herbs), the extremely popular vindaloo (with tomato, cheese, Bangalore beans, peppers, sultanas, hot spices, banana, onions and vindaloo curry paste), and the Nostralis special (with tomato, cheese, capsicum, onion, olives, soya beans, pineapple, chilli, garlic and herbs). Also offered are apple crumble, caroccino and herbal teas. Pizzas are prepared using only 100% organic wholemeal flour, fresh vegetables and cheese that is made with vegetable rennet. Vegan and gluten-free pizzas are also available. 100% soya cheese (Cheesly) and gluten-free (wheat-free) base are used. Takeaway is available.
