Govinda's Vegetarian Club operates in connection with the Hare Krishna temple of Helsinki. There is sanctified vegetarian food available. The food is lacto-vegetarian, and it is usually spiced in Indian style. The meal usually includes rice, soup, vegetable dish, salad and salty pastry. Dessert is also available. On special subject days, the recipes can come from whatever international kitchen. The field kitchen of the temple is annually set up in the World Village Festival in Kaisaniemi Park, Helsinki. The food tent is also a familiar sight in the Faces Ethno Music Festival in Karjaa. The members of the movement can utilize the catering services in connection with different kinds of religious happenings. Vegetarian cooking classes are also organized in the temple.
