Breadshare is a community-supported organic bakery and cafe offering various artisan breads that are made using slow fermentation techniques with no processing aids, artificial additives, flour ‘improvers,’ and preservatives. Also offered are soups, stews, salads, toasts, pizzas, juices, soft drinks, hot chocolate, coffee, and tea. Soups, stews and salads are served with bread. All products are fully certified as organic by the Scottish Organic Producers Organisation (SOPA). The breads can also be bought in various shops and cafes across Edinburgh, and at markets such as the weekly Tramstop market behind John Lewis, every Saturday from 9am. The bakery/cafe also hosts bread workshops and courses.
